Unlike other terrier breeds, the Cesky Terrier is peaceful. Although he is conceived as a hunting dog, he will only become a hunter if he is trained in that direction. This breed of dog is particularly adaptable in a variety of situations and is, therefore a good choice for different types of owners.

Description

Temperament

The Cesky Terrier is a loyal companion. He is not aggressive and tries to please the owner, that is, to carry out his orders. Besides, he is not so independent and masterful. Even though he is kept as a pet, he is still a hunting dog. If you socialize with him in time, you will help him stay in the company of other people and calm animals. These dogs are full of energy and enthusiasm. They love to play and run. They also want to dig on the ground. It doesn’t matter if it is a house or an apartment. The main thing is that he lives with his family. This breed is not adapted to life on the street like some breeds of dogs.

Health

The Cesky Terrier can be said to belong to the group of dogs that do not have health problems. Although they have a long lifespan, in some cases they may have an inherited disease but it does not lead to death.

Care

The fur of this breed of dog should be maintained regularly. The fur on the abdomen, on the legs, around the chin, on the chin, and above the eyes are kept longer. If you keep them as pets, you will need to trim your fur four times a year. Longer pieces of fur should be brushed or combed several times a week to avoid entanglement. History

The history of this breed begins in 1949 in Czechoslovakia, where Frantiкek Horak paired the Sealyham Terrier with the Scottish Terrier and obtained a breed suitable for hunting in the Bohemian forests. The Cesky Terrier belongs to the group of short-lived terriers. This breed of dog was first introduced to the public in 1959 and was finally recognized in 1963 by the International Kennel Club. Originally, these dogs were used to hunt foxes and knots and today they are used primarily as pets.
